Google Adds Customized Homepage Feature With Microsoft’s Bing search engine just getting off the ground, Google might have been feeling the heat and have decided to allow users to customize the way their Google homepage looks, by removing that drab white background and replacing it with something a little more, personal.

That’s right, you can now choose a favorite photo or image from your computer, and place it as the background of one of the most popular search engines. The feature also syncs with your Picasa Web Album or even a public gallery hosted by Picasa themselves which does include some very nice shots.

Users in the U.S. will be the first to be experience the new feature over the next few days, with the rest of the world following soon. To take advantage of this feature, you will see a link in the lower left hand corner of the Google homepage where you can activate it.

Will you be personalizing Google?
