Hanna Evans, 19, said this was a "last resort" after trying to find work using the internet and sending out her CV. She said she gave up a part-time job in a shop when she found she was better off claiming Jobseeker's Allowance. Ms Evans said: "The job centre have contacted me since being on the news and have offered me some help."

She added: "I'm willing to do anything - start at the bottom and work my way up. "I need qualifications and full-time hours. I have tried the internet, I've tried looking round town, I've handed in my CV and I've had no luck - this is my last resort.

Ms Evans has been out of work for a year and lives with her boyfriend who is also currently unemployed. She left school at 16 and has one NVQ in ICT. She said: "It's taken being on the news for the job centre to get in touch. They said they will help me with interview skills and my CV, and they'll let me know what jobs are available.

"Since being on TV, I've had about 20 hoax texts, some of them quite rude. "I've also had offers for home-based sales jobs and catalogue type jobs. Work which relies on commission is a risk for me though as I need to be able to pay my rent. "My dream job would be working with children or the elderly."
